CFW: Interview with Leah Ross

Blog Post Feature Image (66)

This week, Ashley and I are so excited to have writer, egalitarian, and advocate, Leah Ross on the show! Tune in as Leah talks to us about intersectional feminism, her favorite women of the Bible, a popular article of hers, and more!

“Jesus didn’t just come to give us eternal life, but He came to give us abundant life right now on this earth. I believe that deeply inmeshed in the Gospel is the idea that there is no hierarchy, there is no oppression, but we are free from sin and the effects of sin, but also free to be who God called us to be without question. I believe that egalitarian theology allows everyone to thrive and I think complementarian theology, this idea that God is working under some kind of hierachy … is very damaging not only between the relationships of men and women, but the worst part is that it really robs us of our full relationship with God.”

  1. Hey Guys, really enjoyed this interview, really encouraged to still follow Jesus even though was hurt by complimentarian theology and it affected my relationship with God but im still holding on. Im in South Africa, I did’nt grown up complimentarian, only came across it about a year and a half ago when I went to a new church and some reformed friends and reading books mostly from America but then I realised it was not for me but I still feel like it affects me somehow and now my eyes are open to the way women are treated all over the world. I’ve been listening to this podcast since it started and im loving it and the guests you bring on the show.
